IDL Business VoIP Service

VoIP is the latest technology that allows you to save on your phone bill. You can make and receive phone calls just like you did before, using a regular touch tone phone but instead of your calls being delivered over a regular phone line they travel over your high speed internet connection.

Plan changes must be notified before the 1st day of each calendar month and can only be changed once each month.
It is recommended that you are on at least a 1000/1000kbps Broadband plan to use this Service.
Except when a dedicated VoIP circuit is used phone calls add towards your Internet upload and download quota at the rate of about 20 Megabytes each way per an hour.
The VoIP service will not work if your Internet plan has being shaped or your account has been suspended
VoIP services are only available to IDL Customers when combined with an IDL Wireless or IDL ADSL service.
* Excludes calls to international mobiles and special services. Free countries on Home Plus include Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain, UK, and USA. 20 cent countries on Home Plus include China, Greece, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, Malaysia, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, and Taiwan. 20 cent countries on World include all the aforementioned destinations. Engin National, World, and Home Plus and available to residential customers only. Prices effective 11/11/08

Optional Dedicated VoIP Circuit Charge

A separate internet connection/circuit can be provided for the VoIP services to operate over. This ensures voice quality remains at a premium even during times of heavy Internet usage. Dedicated circuits are only available to IDL Wireless or Directly Connected customers.

VoIP Boxes / Routers

You will need a VoIP Box. This box provides the standard phone jack for you to connect a normal telephone to. You make and receive calls just like normal, simply pickup the phone and dial away.

The SPA3102 is a great VoIP add-on box for either ADSL or IDL Wireless. It's main feature is that you can connect your existing land line to it saving the need for an extra telephone. When someone calls your old land line or your new VoIP number the same phone will ring. When you make outbound calls the box uses the low cost VoIP service and switches back to the land line if something goes wrong. If you have ADSL it must be used in conjunction with an existing router.

The WRP400-G4 is a great value all in one box for IDL Wireless customers. It has 2 VoIP ports for connecting up to 2 telephones, 4 network ports for your computers and Wireless for laptops around your house.

The NB9WMAXX is a fantastic all in one box for ADSL customers. It allows you to use the same phone to answer and make calls on both your old land line and your new VoIP line. It also has the convience of 4 ports for computers and WiFi for laptops around your house.
